Great idea… and a great resource. Reminds me of Donald in Mathemagic Land which I would have been shown in my primary school so many many years ago.
Other resources that would enhance such a unit:
– The Number Devil – by Hans Magnus Enzenberger – a children’s novel which features Fibonacci numbers (among other kinds of numbers)
– Fib poems — poems structured like Fibonacci numbers — see the Wikipedia entry on them and the blog of Gregory Pincus who popularized them.
